The actress was born and brought up in Spalding in Saskatchewan then moved into Alberta in Canada which is where she finished the high school. The actress began her acting journey when she was a teenager. In order to continue her education in acting, she enrolled in the National Theatre School located in Montreal then later went to the 'Moscow Theatre School. The actress made her television debut in 1996, performing a role of support in the Canadian television series called 'The Rez. That that same year, she was featured in television shows like "Forever Knight" as well as 'Ready or Not. In addition, she made her debut on film in the late 1990s by starring in a movie titled 'Papertrail' and later acted in films including "Men With Brooms" as well as Cypher. Also, she appeared in supporting roles in series' like "A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and "Blue Murder.' Although she kept acting in movies throughout in the 2000s, her movie appearances were fewer compared to her TV roles.
