Meredith Salenger

Salenger has a family in Malibu. She loved performing for loved ones and relatives as an infant. She was taken by her mother to her first class in acting when she was just eight years old. Salenger played a small role in the film as "a singer and dancer orphan" in John Huston's feature film Annie. Salenger had also been featured in a series of television advertisements. Salenger played her first lead role for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann which was a Disney movie starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to earn the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. In addition, the film won her "Best actor in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal of the tomboyish Natty Gann. She starred in four other movies before turning the age of 18.
